Rules Tournament Boat for Sale |
100% BASS Press Release 6/3/2006 – Phillip / Delamain Capture Mercury Future Pro Honors at Berryessa This was the third tournament for the Mercury Future Pro’s division held at Spanish Flat Resort and Marina on Lake Berryessa. The day started out beautiful, a little nip in the air but no wind to speak of. Once the boats were checked and cards signed, anglers headed to their first fishing locations. As the day progressed, the heat started to raise making for one hot day on the water. There were a couple teams with minor boat problems but all in all, it was a great day and the fish that were weighed in topped the scales from last year’s weights. In the big boat division, first place went to the team of Ken Phillips and Chris Delamain came to the scale with the winning weight of the day and the first place big fish. Their bag weighed 16.52 lbs with their toad weighing in at a whopping 9.69 lbs. They told the crowd, and it was a great crowd I might add, that they fished all of the lake, slow using spooks and swim bait. They took home a check of $2,260. Second place went to the team of Floyd Madderra and Robert Linson. This team describes what this circuit is all about. Better known as Pup and Corn Fed, this team has fished this division for the past four years with their best finish yet, using the technique that is not strange to us while answering the cell phone, the line went straight, the battle of a 5.06 and one of the most beautiful Small mouth you have ever seen. After the Keystone Cops ran around the boat twice, they put the fish in the net. As I know these two personally, one probably said to the other, “Nice Fish, now what do we have in the bag to eat?” Their total weight of 13.26 lbs. gave them a check of $715.00 to take home. Keith Pineo and Matt Monaghan took third place with a weight of 12.10 lbs. anchored by a 3.89 lb. kicker. They told everyone they fished the north and northwest areas of the lake using dart heads. They took home winnings of $675.00 to celebrate their day on the water. Great job, guys. Keep up the good work. Forth place went to Jim Griffin and Angel De La Rosa who weighed in 12.04 lbs. and their big fish of 3.38 lbs. They made $725.00 for their efforts. I love it, when the money is all spread around! Everyone gets to go to Sizzler!! Rounding out the top five was the team of Matt Moreau and Jon de Vries who came to the scale with a 3.47 nice bass and the total weight of 11.89 lbs. bringing home the bacon of $515.00. To the top five, GREAT JOB, hats off, job well done, Kudos and everything else I can think of!! Small boat, we didn’t forget you. Peter Daru and Chuck Browning could not stay around as they had to make a flight out to Oregon to do more fishing, however at the scales Peter slipped and told the crowd what he was throwing “Pink Doughballs” now as the Director, I am communicating with Bob Kornhouser in regards to “doughballs”, is it or isn’t it bait? This is the question. Ha ha. Their five fish weighed 8.31 lbs. took first place in the small boat division. Great job guys and we are all waiting to hear how your fishing trip went in Oregon. My staff and I would like to thank each and everyone of you for supporting this division. Also, I’d like to thank everyone who joined my staff at the Bar-B-Q on Friday evening.
