100% BASS   Press Release

5/7/2006 - Clear Lake pumping out the big bass for 100% BASS Mercury Future Pro's

Sunday came and what a beautiful day it was.  No wind to start off their day, the temp in the high 70’s.   The overall day was great for most of the contestants.  In the Big Boat Division the largest weight of the day came from the team of Ron Howe and Bob Miller who brought to the scale five bass with two bass that looked like book ends.  Which one do you pick?  It was a guess a cone toss.  The one they chose weighed 7.47 lbs.   The a total weight of 25.57, Ron and Bob told the crowd they used a variety of baits which included worms, rip baits and swim baits on tule points in the pockets.  For their efforts they took home a check for $1,925.00. Great job men.

Second place tipped the scale with 22.65 lbs. from the team of Carl and Melissa Keller of Galt.  Anchored by a toad weighing in at 8.69 lbs. gave them a nice payday of $1315.00.  Melissa told the crowd that this was her first tournament and they used jigs and worms, flipping around the state park…Not bad for your first one!

Third place was the team of Bob McNabb and Glenn Vargas Jr. with the total weight of 21.74 lbs with a kicker of 7.83 lbs.  They used rip baits and worms to land their five fish, south of Redbud and around Windmill Point for their days work they took home a nice check of $825.00.

Forth place, from Sin City (Nevada) and we appreciate this team traveling this distance to fish our circuit, Shane Gore and Dustin Funk with the weight of 17.68 LBS. and the Big Fish of the day, a 9.25 lb’er.  SWEEEET!  To help pay for their gas bill, they took home a check for $955.00.

Rounding out the field for the top five, was the team of Jim Griffin and Angel De La Rosa who’s limit weighed in at 17.07 lbs. and a check of $360.00

In the Small Boat Division, Dave Bialek and Ken Marks took home the wood with a limit of bass that weighed 11.85 lbs.  They caught their fish ripping and worms along the tule areas of the lake.  Great job guys.
