3/4/06 – Wells / D’Alessandro win at Millerton, Third Stop on the Big Valley Trail

 The Big Valley Region held its 3rd Tournament of the season at Millerton Lake on March 4th. Weather was a mix of weather fronts, but turned out to be a cold sunny day with blue bird skies. Fishing was still on the good side with 45 teams with 43 weighing in fish  and 35 limits with a quality of fish being very decent for Millerton Lake. Fish were caught with a variety of techniques in depth ranges of 5 ft to 35 ft deep.

 1st Place was won by the Team of Tim Wells & Jeff D’Alessandro of Clovis they were using Bassectomy  & Keeper Worms, Caroline Rig in shallow water in the Fresno Ramp Area. They had 2nd Big Fish of 4.20 very nice fish for a total weight of 14.01 earning them a nice pay of $3600.00.

 2nd Place was won by the Team of Brian Shishido  of Lindsay and Steve Salcedo of Exeter they caught their fish drop shotting 4 inch worms in 10-30 ft. in Main Lake Cuts. They had 5th Big Fish of 3.15 and a total weight of 12.53 earning them $2019.00.

 3rd Place was won by the Team of Tom Work and Brad Pease of Fresno they caught their fish shallow in 5ft of water on sinkos in the Madera Ramp Area. They had 1st Big Fish of the Tournament a very nice 5.13 spotted bass. The Big Fish earned them $396.00 and their total weight was 12.46 lbs. which earned them a total of $1736.00. Good fishing.

 4th Place was won by Harry Boudakian & Pete Rodriguez with a total weight of 11.34 lbs. winning $1053.00.  While the 5th Place Team earned $822.00 and was won by the Team of Matt Davidian and Vince Bryan with 11.03 lbs.

 Congratulations to everyone for a great day and we look forward to another great day at Pine Flat Lake on April 1.
