100% BASS Press Release 4/15/06 - Howe and Malikian Win the Forth Coastal Region Tournament at Lake San Antonio When I pull up in the parking lot to set up for sign up and I saw the barricade in the middle of the parking lot I knew that the water was the highest that it has been in years, and it was so clear that you could see the bottom in 10 to 12 feet. As the angler started showing up I could here them talking about the high water and how clear the water was. It was a beautiful morning and I though that the angler would have a good day of fishing and I was right, but that was not because of the weather. The clouds, rain and the wind came in and when the wind came in there were whitecaps on the water all day. I would like to Congratulation all the anglers, because at this tournament all 23 teams weigh in fish. At the weigh in I was surprise to hear that almost all the anglers had caught their fish on senko’s, crank baits, spilt tails. Congratulation goes out to Miles Howe of Laguna Niguel and Manas Malikian of Huntington Beach. This team has been in the top 5 all year and at the sign up this morning Manas said this is our day to win and he was right. They weighed in the big fish of the day with a 4.80 largemouth bass and a total weigh of 16.29 pounds. Miles said that they were throwing spilt tails, jigs, and senko’s . For all their hard work they won $2,130, a big fish trophy and two nice trophies for their victory. Great Job Miles and Manas. Second place go to the team of Patrick Schmidt of Templeton and Terry Wolf of Santa Maria.
