100% BASS Press Release 3/10/07 – THE BITE WAS ON AT MILLERTON LAKE The bite was on at Millerton Lake for the Big Valley Regions 3rd Tournament of the year. We had a bright sunny day with 50 Teams fishing for a spot in the Fish-Off. We had 48 Teams weighing in fish with 44 Teams weighing in 5 Fish Limits. 1st Place went to the Team of Rod Burns & Denny Bowlin from Clovis. They had a total weight of 12.20 lbs. with 2nd Big Fish of the tournament at 3.93 lbs. They won a total of $5975.00. They caught their fish early in the day up River and later in the day in the Main Lake using crank baits and worms. 2nd Place went to the Team of Ralph Encizo from Fresno and Jeff Mathews from Clovis. They had a total weight of 11.81 lbs. winning them a total of $2253.00. They caught their fish on the Main Lake using Senkos and Spooks on top water. Ralph and Jeff took the time to thank Sponsors Skeeter Boats, Valley Cycle & Marine, Pro Worms, and Buff This Miracle Mist. 3rd Place went to Tom Clark of Fresno, who had to fish alone on this day. He had a total weight of 9.89 lbs. Winning him $1559.00. He caught his fish on the Main Lake slow on blades, jigs & worms. 4th Place went to the Team of Ken Pearson & Jim Emerson of Porterville. They had The Big Fish of the Tournament weighing 3.96 winning them a total of $1,027.00. 5th Place went to the Team of Danny Wood & Gary Honn. They had a total weight of 9.60 winning them a total of $975.00. Congratulations to all for fishing our Tournament and hope to see you at Pine Flat Lake on April 7.
